Well, it had to start some time… It seems quite late this year as it’s the first I’ve saw.

Firework stupidness

As it was Bonfire night last night I went along to the nearest show. Picked a quiet spot on the “wrong” side of the river, not quite sure where the fireworks would appear it was a bit of a risk. Luckily we could see pretty much everything apart from anything blocked by the tree in the way but at least it was quiet compared to the other side. I think we got the good side of the bargain as just as the show started a river cruise boat pulled up and decided to take up half the bank on the other side of the river seemingly without caring for anyone on the bank. Not content with spoiling the view for the people on the bank he didn’t bother to anchor or tie up the boat so it kept spinning around, so no doubt the people on the boat had to keep swapping sides just to see and also he let it drift up and down the bank spoiling not just one set of people on the bank but many.

Moron.

That aside the show was good it was “Sci-Fi” themed, I like Sci-Fi so the music played appealed to me. The fireworks matched the music well I felt, the timing was good. Best part was the Matrix music and shooting green fireworks. The ending was abrupt there wasn’t a particularly flash ending, but it was marked by probably the loudest firework, followed by a mass scramble to the car park shame the return home lastest twice as long as the show but still good nevertheless.

Manners

The world is full of ignoramuses. I hold the door for you a simple thanks wouldn’t go wrong, especially in a damn office environment. I’d expect to at least receive some basic gratitude.

But oh well, this is the real world and next time I shall let the door shut in your face, a taste of your own medicine.
