The world is full of ignoramuses. I hold the door for you a simple thanks wouldn’t go wrong, especially in a damn office environment. I’d expect to at least receive some basic gratitude.
But oh well, this is the real world and next time I shall let the door shut in your face, a taste of your own medicine.

BBC Breakfast News are reporting the LHC will now be offline until at least Spring next year. The restart collides with the winter maintenance period, pushing back the restart date. The maintenance period is used to save on energy through the winter months while demand is high.

Doomsayers can relax, well for an extra two months at minimum.
Liquid helium which is used to cool the LHC down to it’s operating temperature of almost absolute zero has leaked, due to a failure in a magnet which guides the protons around. It will take several weeks to warm up to allow engineers to fix the problem and several weeks for the collider to get back down to operating temperature.

Inspired by my recent Cruise on the Thomson Spirit and by how amazing friendly everyone was there, I decided to create a Cruise Forum. I hope that any potential cruisees can come along and ask anything they need to know and for it to be a place for previous cruisers to come along to and share, well anything about their holiday.
It is a work in progress presently until I get all the categories I feel suitable set-up. The basic ship categories are up now.

If I had set this blog up earlier you would have been reading a disgruntled posting of my trip to the cinema on Friday. The plan was to see Hellboy 2 at 3:20, knowing fully well we could not leave work until 3:30. So we booked the tickets at lunchtime with the knowledge that we’d get in on time for the start of the film because of 20 minutes of adverts.
That was not the case. We walked in and the film was on, accepting we had missed 15 minutes of film we sat down and watched. However to our suprise the film finished an hour later, not sure on the running time we left. Once home I checked the running time and found it was apparently 2 hours, I was then informed the point of the film where we walked in was about an hour in. It didn’t take long to figure out that the film had started an hour early.
So today we returned to the cinema to query this, after some time of not getting anywhere fast, with all the cinema records stating everything was as normal, the manager vanished to get a number for customer services. When he returned to us, he admitted the film had started early. The result, a ticket to replace the half seen film and one for compensation, bonus. So thanks to the manager who actually made an effort for us.

Inspired by the likes of (in no particular order) davep, The Bad Astronomer and Orwellian_Trash I decided to go ahead and create a blog. Specifically the blog was to contain examples of stupidity, which I often see daily. However keeping that maintained could prove difficult. I decided to expand the blog to include a more open view of the world by me. Expect to find things such as TV Show, movie and games reviews and maybe even a view on my interests. Any examples I find will still be here, in the words of Rimmer from the fantastic show, Red Dwarf…
“Like German tourists, the stupid are everywhere.”
Ok so I don’t agree on the German tourists part, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any. So anyway sit back, which you probably are, relax and hopefully enjoy my view on the world and some fine examples of things that are very illogical.
